Mother's Day Cards

Most of these cards were made with The Paper Studio pack Poteeka Souffle.  Love all the papers in this pack.  I also used a paper doily and Prima flowers and Fiskers punch. The butterfly embellishments are from Recollections I think.

Purple Bunny

My grandson ask for a purple bunny on his card.  He saw a embroidery project I was working on and he wanted the same one.  So, here is his purple embroidered bunny.

I find it kind of  hard coming up with boy cards.  And sometime it takes a considerable amount of time putting one card together.
I am amazed by all the other crafters/card makers and how they can produce beautiful cards and projects so fast and be able to join in on numerous blog hops at the same time.  I don't think I will ever be able to do that.  I make so many cutting mistakes on the Cricut......size is an issue....here is an example:  I needed a smaller bunny but this is what cut.. I have Design Studio, but that is a challenge too.   At least I was able to use my mistake in this card even tho he is a bit over sized for this size card, but it is what I had.  Looks like he ate too much chocolate. lol

In posting these pictures I see that I need to do a little trimming on the embroidered card and maybe a googly eye would be cute on the chocolate bunny.

Well, thanks for looking and thanks to all the crafters for sharing their creative gift.

Wedding Card II

While making the 1st wedding card, I had some cuts that I did not use (mistakes ya know).  Anyway, I wanted to try to utilize my "mistake".  Here is what I came up with.  Since it was my brother's anniversary, I stamped "Happy Anniversary".  It was late getting to them, but I guess and hope it is the thought that counts.

Many things going on at my house...getting ready for our RVing adventure (Reflections Two - America From Our RV Door blog), Easter Cards, embroidery orders.

I don't know if anyone wonders why "Reflections", well, I use to do stained glass and my "business" was called Reflections so I just kept it for my personal blog.

I played around with my card slideshow and now I can't get it back.....is Photobucket broke????  Oh well, I hope you enjoy  the waterfalls.

Wedding Card

This was kind of a rushed card.  And since I am really a novice at card making I was a little apprehensive but here is the card and the requester was very pleased.  I wish the quality of the pictures were better.  The cards are a little prettier than they show.

I believe the paper is from DCWV and I used tiny pearls around the brides neck, waist and bottom of the gown.  The bride is from the Sweethearts cartridge and the doily is from Lacy Labels.

Happy Birthday Cards

I was asked to do some birthday cards so....here they are.....

They are a little larger than the ones I usually do.  They had to be large enough for numerouse ones to sign.

Easter Card

I have been doing a little machine embroidery for clients and a few Easter Cards for fun, so I thought....why not incorporate the two.  So.....here we go..... I stitched out the chick on my Brother PR600 machine and then trimmed around the design.  I pop dotted the chick on the card papers.  This is also my second attempt at a pedestal card.

The little Chick cracks me up!!

St. Patrick's Day Cards

Savannah, Georgia is known for celebrating St. Patrick's Day in a huge way.  I believe the parade is the second largest (or at least use to be).  There are many Irish in the area and we celebrate their heritage.

The fountains are colored green for St. Patrick's Day

I use to work downtown Savannah and the Custom House where I worked is right on the parade route.  This year I will miss it since I am now retired and will probably watch the parade on TV.
US Custom House

Building behind the Custom House lit up in green.

Yes.  I will miss the excitement of downtown Savannah.

I made a few cards to celebrate the occasion.

This week is also my Anniversary week ---- yes----I should have known better than to plan a wedding at one of the busiest time of the year in Savannah, but that is a different story to tell at a later time.

I will leave with you the Irish Blessing inside the cards --

May you have love that never ends
lots of money,
and lots of friends
Health be yours whatever you do,
And may God send many
Blessings to you

Cards

I am trying to use up some of my embellishment stash.
I have found that it is easier to build around an embellishment,
rather than pick out paper first.

The colors are more vibrant than the picture shows.

Cards

t
"Thanks for Everything"
This is a Thank You card, but the camera does not pick up the sentiment.
It is a bit too shiny to photo well.

This one is a bit too shiny too.
I guess I will have to find a way to photo in natural light

Just Sharing a Card

I made this card a few weeks ago.
The colors are better coordinated than what the picture shows.

Peace

I have been working on other cards and I will be showing them later.  I find this little card crafting adventure relaxing but, since I am not really very creative, they don't come together so easy.  I wonder if all the other card crafters have the same problem, or do they know how a card will look before they start.  Mine tend to just evolve after much contemplating.

Hope

This card started out a "Think Spring" card. Can you tell I am tired of cold weather!! However, I never could get it to come together with the wording, but I did have a "Hope" stamp. Then I thought it needed something else and I thought about tying a ribbon around the tree but I had already glued the tree down. After that, it took an all different meaning. We have the military in our thoughts and prayers every day.

I am having fun with the cricut.  I am also learning from mistakes......

Recent cards

Flower made from a flower punch.

Made using a "mistake" cricut cutting from Wild Card cartridge. Card opens in the middle.
K&Company Designer Paper and K&Company "Brenda Walton" Grand Adhesions embellishment.

Matching envelope - Cricut Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge.
Don't remember the name of the paper. I have had it for

The card stock is from K&Company. This is from Designer Paper "Live's Journey".
The two sided design paper is beautiful on both sides.

Cricut Expressions

I recently acquired a almost new Cricut Expressions machine with accessories and cartridges.  I have been watching videos on YouTube from MyPinkStamper.  I have learned a lot....

Here are the first cards I have made. Obviously, I am not very creative, but it is fun and relaxing.

The following card is for my sweet granddaughter.  Her 7th birthday is Jan 6th.  Her name is on the front side of the card  but I am only showing the inside of the card.  She loves horses.
