St. Patrick's Day Cards

Savannah, Georgia is known for celebrating St. Patrick's Day in a huge way.  I believe the parade is the second largest (or at least use to be).  There are many Irish in the area and we celebrate their heritage.

The fountains are colored green for St. Patrick's Day

I use to work downtown Savannah and the Custom House where I worked is right on the parade route.  This year I will miss it since I am now retired and will probably watch the parade on TV.

Building behind the Custom House lit up in green.

Yes.  I will miss the excitement of downtown Savannah.

I made a few cards to celebrate the occasion.

This week is also my Anniversary week ---- yes----I should have known better than to plan a wedding at one of the busiest time of the year in Savannah, but that is a different story to tell at a later time.

I will leave with you the Irish Blessing inside the cards --

May you have love that never ends
lots of money,
and lots of friends
Health be yours whatever you do,
And may God send many
Blessings to you

A Morning Ride

Today was horse riding lesson day.  Here are a few pictures of the fun morning.

Preparing the horse for the ride.

Oops!  Can't get distracted from the job at hand.

Leading the horse to the arena.

The children go on a trail ride after a little warm up in the arena.
I have been on the trail and let me tell you, it is not an easy trail.
All the (3) children are learning to ride and care for the horses.

If you play the video you can turn off my music player or not, your choice.

A Morning of Art

I had the pleasure of taking my granddaughter to an art class. My daughter had signed her up at a very cute studio  called Swirlz.  I enjoyed the morning with her. She is such a sweetie and very creative.

Colors are chosen by her and ready to begin.
The project is chosen by the instructor and she paints along with the class; instructing long smooth strokes, some color combinations,  and other tips on fixing mistakes.  Encouraging everyone along the way.

So happy to be here.

An artist at work.

Beautiful sweet little lady
Instructors loved her hair.

First art project on canvas.

My Pink Stamper Card Challenge

Feathered Friend

The challenge was to use a feathered friend on a project.  I created this card about a month ago.  My Son-In-Law is in the military and is deployed.  I thought this card would be appropriate for two reasons. One for the challenge and the other for our prayers and assured hope in our Lord for his safe return.

I created the tree with my Cricut and cut out a little bird from the matching paper and popped him in the tree.  I don't have any of Robyn's stamps, but someday soon I will add to my stamp collection.
